How to play Scale Scout

  1. Choose the full mix or a topic.
  2. Read the object and the requested dimension, then choose one of three measurements.
  3. See the correct answer and its primary source. Continue to finish the round.

Scoring

Each correct answer scores one point. The full mix and Everyday topic use ten unique questions; Space uses nine and Sports courts uses five. A score of 70% or more completes the challenge. Answers are locked after selection so the result reflects your first guess. New round shuffles a fresh question order.

Units and accuracy

mm means millimetres, m means metres and km means kilometres. Coin sizes use U.S. Mint specifications. Planet sizes use the NASA planetary fact sheet; these are equatorial diameters, except the Moon’s listed mean diameter. Court measurements follow the cited FIBA standard. Numerical choices share the same unit. Artwork is symbolic and is not to scale.
